Five days later...

The Texas Rangers are back in post-season baseball after missing the past two years.  (Unless you count the tie-breaker play-in game FOR the Wild Card game in 2013, which is technically game 163)

Either one more Rangers win or a Houston loss will also give the A.L. West Division to the Rangers for the first time since 2011.

Oh, and the Cubs made the playoffs for the first time since 2008, so that's pretty neat, too.

1 So what's the wager when the Cubs and Rangers meet in the World Series?

2 Hmmm.  That's a good question.  I had to think about this.  If the Cubs win the World Series (regardless of opponent), I will seriously watch and comment on the new Evangelion movies.  For the record, I can't finish reading the Wikipedia entry for 3.0.

3 Feh.  Child's play.  How about we bet the front page of our respective blogs?  I win, you change Midnight Tease to a Cubs logo.  You win, the Rangers take over The Pond's title bar.

4 Sounds fair.  Easier on my sanity, too.

5 While I think it unlikely that we'll both be in the WS, we've got a bet.

6 Texas has to get through Toronto.  That's the big one.
